Video scaling size / Video width wrong

Hello,

I used DVDDecrypt to copy the files to my hdd.
After this I used InstantCopy to make it fit on one DVD.

The DVD contains a menu and a main movie.

Now to my problem. The menu is perfectly scaled there is no black bar anywhere. But there is one in the main movie, about 1cm big on the left and about half that size on the right. So I guess IC took the wrong scaling size. The screen is proportioned right it's not distortet.

There are just these black bars which I like to get rid off.


The menu and the movie may have different width and height and IC seems to use the width from the menu and uses it for the main movie as well.
The original DVD does not have this black bar.

I haven't edited the movie in any way. Just copied it to hdd and then I used IC. So it should be some issue in IC. I set the video check percentage to 100%, I thought it may see that the movie is scaled different then the menu. But it just took longer and resulted in the same black bar on left and right.

When I play the DVD-hdd files there is no such black bar either so it is coming from IC.

Is noone else experiencing black bar's at the left or right side?

I doubt I'm the only one out here;)



Maybe someone know how to fix that.

This would'nt happen to be a R2 Anamorphic DVD would it

yes it's a R2 DVD.

But I still not know how to fix the black bar thingie.

Any more hints?

Did this problem start after applying the Update to IC or Before.

The Reason i ask is that i did R2 Monsters inc which i know Over here in the UK the Anamorphic picture is Squeezed Left and Right (this all Stems from the TV. PalPlus days) Instead of the R1 Top and Bottom.This of course came out no problem but was done before applying any updates.


Have just done R2 Oceans Eleven 2001 Which is another Left/Right Anamorphic picture.And can report it turned out O.K. this is of course after applying the Latest Pinnacle Update.

Just a Thought have you tried a Reinstall Of IC to see if that Cures it.

Now I saw it's in the main movie too.

After I copied it to the hdd with DVD-Decrypter.
So it's an aspect ratio issue i guess.

But I still not know how to fix it.
