Software: DVD2SVCD (D2S112B1) and TMPG (2.58.44.152) settings as per guide.
System: AMD Thunderbird 1/1.2Ghz, 512mb, GF4 Ti4400, 12G 5200, 28G 7200 HD (IBM deskstar, the one being used here, 10G free to start, 3G now)
DVD: It's an American magic DVD that I want to put on SVCD because I can't play it on my DVD player. I've no idea, but I guess it's NTSC, it 4:3 and I think regionless.
Basically I initially ran into issues with DVD2SVCD mis-setting the BeSweet commands (addind -r 1200 1001). This produced a near perfect SVCD with an audio pitch issue that meant I felt like I was watching in slow motion.
Pacohaas kindly gave me a corrected BeSweet script:
"C:\Program Files\DVD2SVCD\BeSweet\BeSweet.exe" -core( -input "C:\Program Files\DVD2SVCD\Movie\Extracted_audio_1.ac3" -output "C:\Program Files\DVD2SVCD\Movie\Encoded_audio_1_FS1.mp2" -logfile "C:\Program Files\DVD2SVCD\Movie\Encoded_audio_1_FS1.log" ) -azid( -L -3db -c normal -s surround -g max ) -ota( -d -151 ) -shibatch( --rate 44100 ) -2lame( -e -b 192 -m s ) -split( -start 0 -end 5711 )
This produces a 111,657KB file that creates an error when "Determining length of audio" producing the "bbMPEG_Muxed_File00.mpg". The error states "List index out of bounds (1)".
I also tried the "DSPguru_MP2_for_SVCD" preset in BeSweet:
"C:\Program Files\DVD2SVCD\BeSweet\BeSweet.exe" -core( -input "C:\Program Files\DVD2SVCD\Movie\Extracted_audio_1.ac3" -output "C:\Program Files\DVD2SVCD\Movie\Encoded_audio_1_FS1.mp2" -logfile "C:\Program Files\DVD2SVCD\Movie\Encoded_audio_1_FS1.log" ) -azid( -c light -L -3db --maximize ) -toolame( -m s -b 192 -e )
This produced a 74,444KB file (much smaller) that created worked under bbMPEG and created an iso file, however neither the sVCD nor the two "bbMPEG_Muxed_File01.mpg" files had any sound.
In both instances the resulting mp2 file flagged up errors in the audio log but played perfectly in winamp.
Forgive me for linking the log files but otherwise this will get confusing:
