View Full Version : Phenomenon
Well I have a strange one. I have tried 3 ways from Sunday to Rip Phenomenon. It rips like normal but if you try and view it you come up with a green screen and then generates a fault. I have tried ISO, IFO, and Files. I have tried adusting adjustments till I am blue in the face. If anyone can help please let me know. I can not get past first base. I have backedup at least 300 disk and I have never encountered this problem. I am sure it is my fault and I am overlooking a simple thing but, dam I can't figure it out.
Thanks,

Well do not know what caused it but I solved it by using smartripper.
Hmmmm not sure why

My guess is that the disc was coming back as not being encrypted and so the program didnt bother to attempt to find the decryption key for the files - hence it didnt remove css. That would explain the green screen and the crashing of your player software.
Did you happen to notice what it said in the log as it ripped the disc? Did it find a key for any of the files or just say N/A ?
Did you try playing each file individually incase only 1 was causing the problem?
After ripping I tried each of the 5 VOBs and in all cases they screen was green. When I tried it the first couple of times I though it was a problem with my CCE program or DVD2AVI. It wasn’t until I looked at the vobs that I found it happened during decrypting. Then I started playing with the settings and could not get it work. Out of desperation I used smartripper since I never had used it before. I assume by your comment that smartripper does check prior to going on?
Still love the program
:D
Sorry I did not check the log. Instead I just re-did it.

My program is probably just a little more intelligent and doesnt do things when in theory (!) it doesnt need to. Obviously thats not paid off this time around! If you get a minute and are able to, I'd really appreciate knowing what it says in the log as you try to rip the dvd.
Cheers.
Ok I will try and take care of it this week. Extra busy at work right now and weekends are my time for enjoyment. I will do it again though.
