i recently bought a 50-pk of Ritek G03s from rima and ive noticed a weird problem. it almost looks like the burner stopped writing data after a certain period but was still "burning" onto the DVD.
for most of the burning surface its a dark color like normal when you burn something, but towards the end of the burning, the color lightens. at first i thought it was nothing but i tested the dvds with this problem and noticed that towards the end where the change occurs it cant read the data, perhaps theres nothing there or something, i cant really figure it out.
anyone else have this type of problem?
ive burned about 300 Princos before switching and ive never seen this type of problem with them.

edit: just checked the DVDs on ritek ive burnt so far and it seems ALL of them have this problem in one degree or anything. once it gets close to the end it just stops playing, and gives a message like unable to read disc or bad data. doesnt work in both standalone and computer

Which firmware and were these disks (G03s) burned @ 2x or 1x?

If you used firmware 1.31 or any of the 2xall hacks to burn Ritek @ 2x, reload an official firmware (at least V1.32) and try to burn full 4.37 GB @ 2x on a Verbatim or Pioneer disk. If the result is the same you might have power calibration issue, not that unusual on A04/104.
