i rip the dvd using dvd dycrypter this works fine

now is where the problems arises

1) the movie has two or more titles and then the movie is spread over two vobs sets. i used to use vstrip to merge all files then ifo edit to create ifo when i then use dvd2one it says 13 chapters but only 2m 13s long

2) the movies has two or more titles but with 1 vob set when i use dvd2one it ask me to choose betwwen titles i don't want to choose i want all of it

this might sound stupid and it proberbly make no sense but any help will be greatly appreciated

Get the latest version of DVD2One (www.dvd2one.com). It can do whole DVD's in one step. If you want control over each step then look at this thread (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=46770).

The latest version (v1.1.1) will not make any difference between the different vts sets, but will treat all equal. Just select 'Full Disc' instead of 'Main Movie'.

Your example looks like your DVD has two aspect ratio movies in it, a widescreen and a fullscreen. Most people personal preference on what movie to keep is usually the widescreen movie because you can see whole movie like at the theaters. So there are ways/guides on just keeping only one movie version. You may not have the need to use any movie shrinking programs since getting rid of one movie VOBs will make your DVD fit nicely on a DVDR. On all movie with 2 aspect ratios, a aspect ratio selection menu is present. This is the menu that asks you to select widescreen of fullscreen. Again, there are threads and guides on how to fix that so that no matter what you select, your kept and preferred movie will play.

i have two dvd's

1) has all the film in one vob set but 3 titles

2) has two different vob sets and four titles

problem is i want to cut out all the menus and other sound tracks and just leave all the titles on the disc

dvd 1 i have done using ifoedit then get vts sectors then dvd2one

the one i am having problems with is the movie which has 4 titles over two vob sets only one aspect ratio

any ideas
