I need an AC3 file for Maestro to process with my movie, but when I rip the DVD (American History X) with DVD decrypter in FILE mode I only get the M2v file, the IFO file, Chapter info, and stream info (txt document with delay stuff for audio). There are no AC3 files and I checked that I wanted them all but the subtitles. My settings are "enable stream processing" and DEMUX. On the settings page for IFO mode I have "select main movie pgc", all options on the left, and file splitting "none" set. On the right side I have chapter info "dvd Maestro" and "stream information" checked. Can anyone clue me in?

Thx

Hi-

In my DVDDecrypter, you can't Enable Streams Processing in File Mode. Only in IFO Mode. But when in IFO mode, after Enabling Streams Processing, you highlight one at a time the audio streams you want and hit Demux.

So what did I miss? :)

Darnit,
I meant IFO MODE. I'm in "IFO mode" doing this and with those settings that I told you. Any suggestions? Is the AC3 sound file imbedded in something I dont see? Lke the M2v file? I cant find it to put it into Maestro. After doing the CCE thing, I have the video (obviously) with no sound, cause I cant find the AC3 file to load it into Maestro.

Thx, any help would be very appreciated.

PS I have all the streams I want checked and NO subtitles and Demux is checked.

Does this particular DVD have Dolby Digital (.ac3) soundtracks? If it uses Linear PCM, MP2, or DTS, instead ... there won't be any .ac3 soundtracks to Demux.

You could always just use standard IFO mode, without streams processing, which will demux all soundtracks (that can be demuxed) along with Angle 1 of the longest PGC.

LoL:p
i just fogured it out.....man....u have to click on each individual stream EVEN after you've checked it. Then click demux for each one. I thought the demux checked did it for all that were checked. Semantics. Amazing, this is the small stuff between GRANDIOSE success and MISERABLE failure

Hi-

That's what I said (and pretty clearly too, I thought):

after Enabling Streams Processing, you highlight one at a time the audio streams you want and hit Demux.

You can also get the .ac3 from the .m2v or .vob files when making a .d2v in DVD2AVI (if you need to use that program).
