Hi-

I had the same problem not too long ago. If I remember correctly, I made an Image file onto the hard drive, and then used ISOBuster to convert the Image back to .avi. I opened it in Nandub and found out there were a few bad frames. I cut out a small portion between 2 keyframes and it was good again.

Yes. You need first to create session or track image file with IsoBuster, and while using option 'Replace with all zeroes' and 'Always apply selection'.

After it (what can be slow and long) extract file from that image again with IsoBuster.

Unfortunately IsoBuster can't replace errors with dummy while extract file directly from CD, therefore is this complicated methode.

Perhaps should write to author that make this possibility in next version... Like in DVDDecrypter.

actually you can use isobuster to extract the files directly from the cd (wroked for me at least)...

from the isobuster homepage:
On top of this, Isobuster interprets CD image files, such as :

*.DAO (Duplicator), *.TAO (Duplicator), *.ISO (Nero, BlindRead, Creator), *.BIN (CDRWin), *.IMG (CloneCD), *.CIF (Creator), *.FCD (Uncompressed), *.NRG (Nero), *.GCD (Prassi), *.P01 (Toast), *.C2D (WinOnCD), *.CUE (CDRWin), *.CDI (DiscJuggler), *.CD (CD-i OptImage), *.GI (Prassi PrimoDVD), *.PXI (PlexTools).

you can download it here:
http://www.smart-projects.net/isobuster/

and the basic functionalities are free!

You should read more carefully what others wrote here...

Noone said that can not extract files directly from CD. Here is talk about reading damaged files.
