So... if anyone has tried to encode your DVDs to SVCD with TMPGenc only to realise that your 30 day trial has expired, here is a little trick I came up with by using a registry monitor.

What you need to do involves changing a registry entry, and I'm only a n00b to these forums, so if I could just get some confirmations from a few people that it does in fact work (I have done it on Win98 and XP successfully) that would be great. I know I wouldn't trust someone posting registry changes, but this is for real. And besides, if you just look at the code below it is obviously not malicious.

What you need to do is create a new text file, just call it RESET.TXT for now.

Open the file, and paste these lines in it (between dashes):
-------------------------------------
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
+++CENSORED+++CENSORED+++CENSORED+++CENSORED+++CENSORED+++CENSORED+++
-------------------------------------

Rename the extension from .TXT to .REG

Now, whenever you want to reset your 'trial period', just run that file and you're set. Hope this helps a few people :D
