I cannot seem to find where to add the audio delay in DVD Maestro. I have a -83ms delay for the ac3.

You cannot enter negative audio delays in Maestro, you can only drag AC3 to right to achieve positive delays.
You can cut off 3 frames (96ms) to change delay to 13ms and then drag the AC3 by that much in Maestro. There are previous posts about this, so use the search :)
Note that I only work with PAL material, TRILIGHT seems to think that with NTSC material the delays take care of themselves ;)

Just a thought...drag the video to the right...so the video will start later and you basically achieve delay. Never tried it though...

you cant drag the video to the right, it snaps back. BUT, you can add a 3 frame blank clip to the start of the VTS

Easiest way I have found it to make your own blank .m2v as 1ms.. then you can add that to any movie you are making.. and you can of course add it more than once if you need more than 1ms.
As a quick guide.. I make my own dvd movie from a dv Cam, so they were all .avi files at first. I took days trying to figure out how to get .avi into a good .m2v file with no sound, but every time I followed a guide, the m2v looks like crap. so here is what I did and I didn't have any delay issues with sound.
1) use tmpgenc with dvd template from tmpengc.. just click no audio button and you have your m2v.
2) now change to audio only and you get your .mpa file.
3) use Ac3machine and open .mpa file.. now you have you .ac3.
perty simple in my eyes... let me know if there was anything I missed.
