i know i should be in the tmpgenc forum, but not to many members goes there, and i don't have time to wait for a reply, if any.

i trying to encode this 16:9 dvd (first time) to a nstc vcd, but everything i try, it keeps coming out full screen, i'd try every aspect ratio and it keeps coming out the same; either it so really, really simple, or i'm screwed. please help.

afaik VCD and SVCD only support 4:3 content. so you'll have to add those black bars in order to keep the aspect ratio!

avisynth script... there's a special command to add boarders to a movie... see www.avisynth.org for details!

select 4:3 display under video settings and a source aspect ratio of 16:9 under advanced settings. (and as video arrange option fullscreen, keep aspect ratio)
that SHOULD also work.
