If a disk is WS and P&S on a Dual Layer can you use Ifoedit to remove the P&S version prior to letting DVD2One do it's thing? I would imagine you'd have to do something with the menu that offers you a selection as well as fixing the PGC files. Are there any Guides around for this?

Let's take a look at what I do until you find a better guide:

Let's say the WS is in the VTS_01_X.VOB title set and the P&S is in the VTS_02_X.VOB title set.

I'd remove all the files from the P&S title set except the IFO (VTS_02_0.IFO), BUP (VTS_02_0.IFO) and VTS_02_0.VOB, if it exists.

I'd then fire up ifoedit and choose VTS_02_0.IFO. In the upper window, I'd left click VTSM_PGCI_UT (then the plus sign next to it) and in all of its menus (e.g., LU_1 PGC-Menu_1 (Root Menu), LU_1 PGC_Menu_2 (Angle Menu)) I'd edit the first pre command within the PGC Command Table to be (JumpSS_VTSM) Jump to Titleset(vts): 1, Titile(ttn): 1, root-menu. You accomplish this by right clicking the first pre command and choosing Edit and then (JumpSS_VTSM) Jump to Titleset Menu from the drop down menu and filling in the title #, title set #, and menu type -- these are all available from drop downs. When you save, choose yes when asked if you want to create a new BUP as well.

Now you have the menu and if anyone mistakenly hits the P&S selection you won't get hung up; you will just be returned to the menu. Many standalones will choke (and have to be unplugged) if you fail to accomplish the pre edit.

Sorry for rushing this but if you give it a try I think things will fall into place for you.

So your basically leaving the Phantom ifo's there and looping it back to go back to the root menu is that correct ? Could you have it play the Widescreen version despite what version they select? Ideally I'd like to get rid of the version choice all together. I'll have to try one to see what you mean.

@Scarpad

Or you can...

...get the title of your unwanted aspect ratio movie and go your VIDEO_TS.IFO / VMGM_PGCI_UT and go through all your PGC-Menus looking for instances of this title and editing it to the other other movie's title. So when your aspect ratio selection menu pops up, it doesn't matter which one you pick, you'll get the one you wanted.

Exactly...

If you want to play the WS no matter what is chosen, then edit all the instances of the P&S in the Command Tables to the WS title set as 2Cool has indicated in his post.

Or just skip the AR menu completely and change the PRE command to go to a different titleset menu.

May not work that way. If a chapter is selected intially in scene selection menu, the AR menu will pop up. And what if there is only one movie menu for both aspect ratios?
