possible to change project file and use crash recovery to synchronise?

I know that Vstrip or the internal routine are recommended but I ripped the film “CRUSH” with DVDDecrypter because neither Vstrip nor the internal routine could find a key.

So I ended up with 2 CDs in which both soundtracks (English/German) lag about 10 seconds behind the picture.

Of course I could use the TMPGenc Tools to mux the *.mpv file with the encoded_audio.mp2 after some trial an error session on how many seconds must be cut off the beginning of the audio file.

Since I did the SVCD with 2 soundtracks English and German and I would like to keep the second sound track and the chapter devisions, in short all the nice things that I learned to appreciate with dvd2svcd.

Is there an elegant way of simply changing some delay setting in the projectfile.d2s and/or dvd2svcd.ini so that I just activate crash-recovery- remux with new values and have a synchronous film ? If so which settings would I change ?
And if this is possible - is there also an easy way to find the exact time difference between seeing a door slam and hearing it ?

I hope that what I dream of is feasable and not too complex since I do not have much experience in these matters.

My first suggestion, if possible, is to re-rip with SmartRipper instead of DVD Decrypter. SmartRipper has much fewer problem with DVD2SVCD then other rippers do, but it still does have more problems then Internal Routines.

Then leave ripping checked and make the default output folder different from where the first set of ripped VOB's are. Select the IFO off the HD from the ripped VOB's and re-rip the already ripped VOB's with Internal Routines. No key will be needed since SmartRipper(or even DVD Decrypter if SmartRipper doesn't proove to work) will have already decrypted the VOB's. This has proven to get the ouput back to normal in the past.

This is much easier then playing with the delays and has a better chance of working. If it doesn't work then we can go to another thing to try, but for now try this.

I did try SmartRipper - the reason why I eventually used Decryter was that no other Ripper would handle the DVD. And apart form the ones I mentioned above I also tried VOBRator and CladDVDXP neither of these would find a key or start ripping. I was glad that Decrpyter did it at all – I had already suspected that some new kind of protection was being used since 4 or 5 different rippers did not work.

I had hoped that it was just a tiny change in delay time at the right spot and start recovery to have it all solved.
