keep getting error message

:confused: I have tried and tried to get DVD2SVCD to work, but I keep getting the error message : EIniFileException Unable to write to C:\Programs\DVD2SVCD\Movie\DVD2SVCD.INI

I have tried to reinstall, format my harddrive, different versions of DVD2SVCD but nothing helps. I am using WinXP, I have installed the XP-aspi drivers, X-vid, DivX 5.03 and a bunch of other codecs without any result.

If anyone can help please drop a line.

Please add the actual error in the title or at least enough to identify it. The more the title reflects the problem the better to know what the post is about as there are a ton of errors that DVD2SVCD can give.

Sorry about that. It was embarrasing. I thought that I had looked everywhere.

To answer your questions from a previous post

1. What version of DVD2SVCD are you using?
2. Do you have Anti-Virus software and what brand?
3. Do you use any disc untilities like Norton Protect or unerase?
4. What are your computer specs?
5. What software is running at the time, please include all on the taskbar by the clock.
6. Do you leave the computer alone the entire time of encoding or do you use it?
7. Have you used user switching in XP?
8. Are you using CCE, TMPG and what version?
9. Where do you get this error in the encoding cycle?
10. What OS are you using?
11. If XP did you upgrade to SP1?

1 I am using version D2S112B1, but I have tried older version too

2 My anti-virus is PC-Cillin 2002

3 No such programs

4 AMD XP1800 T-bred, 512 mb Kingston PC3000, Epox 8RDA motherboard

5 PC-Cillin 2002, Zonealarm Pro version 3.5, Ad-watch version 2.5

6 I leave the computer alone

7 No user switching

8 I am using TMPG Plus version 2.5

9 The error occurs here :

Executing BeSweet. Commandline:

After this error message BeSweet continious but the same erroe message then occurs AFTER the movie has been encoded, but before the Encoded_audio and Encoded_Video has been put together to the usual .bin and .cue files. At the second error message the programs stops and does not continue like after the first error message

10 No SP1

It has been working before, but not anymore.

Try doing a complete un-install and re-install. Make sure the directory is gone and make sure there are no files in your new encoding directory.
