Hey,
since vdub usually plays pretty much everything really nicely, how about a stripped ver of vdub as a player for media's? with screen resize on the fly would be really nice :D and if there is one out alredy please let me know, thx.

Why would you want to do that ? VdubMod can't read so much things, since it needs a vfw interface for the codec used. Also, it can't used overlay for rendering, so it would be more demanding for the machine.
If you want a nice player that read (almost) everything, try Media Player Classic

I just wanted a player for peoples which doesnt know how to fix divx3 encode playing with divx3 decoder instead of divx5. Most regular users doesnt know this, besides there aren't many with comps -1GHZ these days. MPC is really nice I use it alot switching back and forward from mp6.4 but I guess most peoples want a player with a nice skin. :D I know vdub is really demanding on CPU when playing, but still most peoples doesnt run anything in background while watching a movie.

Make them discover the power of FFDShow :)

FFDshow fixes a lot of stuff and half of the people don't even know about it before they post

Dont get me wrong but there are way too many ppls having troubles installing external decoder filter such as FFDSHOW and cant get certain divx encoded files to playback properly. Another example is XviD with green pictures has been reported by regular users. I really dont know why this happens to those ppls but I even recommend them to install FFDSHOW and when that doesnt work. U'll be wondering if he even installed the decoder.
