Capture to avi larger than 4gb

Hi ,
just a quick question to find out how the hell i can make a Avi of 11gig in segments.

Have done various searches and they direct me to use vdub, which is fine , but the capture card is not reconised by vdub ( Pinnacle DC10 Plus ).

Studio8 won't allow you to create Avi's larger than 4gig, and i dont want to have to create 4 different ones.

Wan't to be able to load the Avi into Dvd2Svcd after running the canopus DV converter.

Any help would be greatly aapreciated as i'm new to this seen.

The reason you can't use vdub is because of the pinnacle drivers that your card uses. If you want to use vdub, you could get the btwincap drivers and use them but then you won't be able to use your pinnacle software (to capture) until you reinstall your pinnacle driver.

I have a pctv card with the same problem. I don't use pinnacle's drivers anymore anyway. I can capture at a higher res using the btwincap drivers.

Ok, I've searched for the drivers to no avil, all the ones that i thought were them , were not.

Could someone please give me a url to the drivers please.

Also is there anything available that will be able to handle the "MJPG" format that studio8 captures in, instead of having to stuff around with a heap of other progs.

But you should be able to create a(n) (s)vcd file from the AVI using TMPGEnc, regardless of its size.

MJPEG is a codec using for video editing since its (almost) lossless. You just need to install an appropriate MJPEG decoder. If it did not come with your card you can try the open sources or the several commercial versions (like PICVideo's) available.
