Mpegs

This may not be the right place for it but here goes.

I have some mpegs (yes its porn) and when I try to open them with media
player I get a class not registered error anybody know what this is, and what can I do about it, the M$ website has no information, about this error.

not that i would know anything about it, but you could try renaming the extensions from mpg(mpeg) -> avi, mov, rm or any other file types they might be.

the extension must be showing for you to be able to rename it, if your extensions aren't showing go to folder options -> view and disable Hide file extensions.

It doesn't matter what the extension is, if I right click on the file and select open with media player it should open(no matter what the extension) but I get the aforementioned error

Sounds like you need to reinstall Windows Media Player.

I forgot to say most are ok, it just happens with some files,

I might give that a try though, cheers

Try reinstalling codecs or install ace codec pack 5;)
