i am using the method on dvdrhelp.com to convert a dvd to dvdr using dvd2svcd. my comp is a 1.5ghz but only has 128 megs of ram. i am converting the movie the jackal. it is now on the 2nd pass out of 3 is is on the 30th hour. is something wrong. also is 3 passes enough or too much??

1. Please use a more specific title.
2. We have no idea what the method over there is.
There is just no way of knowing what you are doing and what is happening based on the info you have given. You have not even mentioned what encoder you are using(although I am guessing it's CCE, but what version), what step it is at, what the speed rating on the encoder is.
I am sorry, but there is just no way to know what is going on unless you can supply use with much more pertinent info.
It sounds like it is going slow. You need to tell us what the RT is.
Chances are it's because you only have 128mb of ram. 256 is considered the minimum.
There is plenty of info around on how many passes to use. This is a very common topic.
Before posting you should always read the Q+A and other stickies. You may also want to read any subjects on CCE Speed, just use the search. More times then not I am sure you will answer you own question in minutes as opposed to waiting for others to respond.
