Refuses to run at all. Followed instructions to the 'T'. Made a clean folder 'c:\VirtualDubMod' Extracted 'latest' VirtualDub into folder. Extracted 'Latest' VirtualDubMod into folder over writing any files already there. Extracted DLL's (But they were already there from the updated VirtualDubMod archive anyhow). Installed AviSynth 2.51. Replaced Avisynth dll in 'c:\windows\system32' folder.

VirtualDubMod originally gave me the libjpeg.dll error. Now it does nothing. I launch VirtualDubMod and nothing happens (Nothing in task manager either).

Tried uninstalling/reinstalling AviSynth and replacing dll again etc. Nothing.

Refuses to run!

WinXP SP1 DX9

OK I uninstalled Avisynth 2.51. Deleted ALL dll's except the libPNG.dll file and it STILL does nothing when you try to launch the exe. If you rename libPNG.dll it will complain that the dll is missing of course. Renaming the VirtualDubMod.vdi file will result in a total crash also of course.

So what the hell is the prob? VirtualDub and Nandub both run fine even from the same folder.

OK got it working. Used the v2 archive. Doom9 needs to update the link on the mainpage. Just spent ages trying to figure out why it would not work. Doom's link has the old pack. :P

Something that still annoys me is that you cannot remove streams from OGM's when you open one up and go to 'Show inputs'. You have to demux and then remux the streams to do it. :(

What I want is the ability to add or remove streams then save the OGM without having to first: Save the video via direct stream copy to an AVI, demux the audio and subtitle streams, open the video AVI, remux the audio and subtitle streams, then save as OGM to new file. Long winded (Please note: I am not referring to switching the order of the streams via the up down buttons. You cannot remove a subtitle/audio stream and replace with another without a complete demux of the OGM)!

Also there is no ability to append OGM's. I have to use a command line utility to do this. It would be fantastic if we could append OGM's in VirtualDubMod :)

open .ogm -> ogm -> show inputs -> double click on "use" (yes, no) to switch between the both!

You can disable a stream by using yes or no but you cannot replace it entirely with an another stream without doing a complete demux/remux. I would like to be able to add or remove streams and save an OGM without first demuxing/remuxing.

you can disable (delete) a stream (using "no) and you can also add another one (using "yes")
-> in the end you have a new .ogm including the new stream without any demux/remux!

Seems a bit weird to do it that way. Why not make the remove button remove the stream from view so I know it's not gonna get saved? ;)

Maybe I got a corrupt version from MS page :/ but vdubmod still continues to load anyway. I dont know if this will cause sumthing to malefunction, could u help Belgabor :D thx in advance

Yup. I can confirm that prob too on WinXP+SP1. When opening VDubMod there pop-up message "The procedure entry point _chkesp could not be located in the dynamic link library MSVCRTD.dll". But after ignoring it VDubMod simply starts without any probs.

And before somebody jumps at my throat- yes, I do have MSCVRTD.DLL in system directory and yes I installed all of the latest files. The strange thing is that VDubMod worked perfectly before I had to reainstall system from scratch.

I would realy apreciate if someone could look into that prob.

OK- problem solved. It seems that there are several versions of MSVCRTD.DLL available for download on the net and only the latest ones do the trick. I am uploading 100% working one but could someone pls put it in the pack of necesary dlls for download on the Sourceforge?

Because you will get mad :p if you delete the stream by error ... in this case the only way to have it back is to reopen the input file (which means you lose everything you did so far : opened external sources, settings on each stream, comments & chapters on each stream, ...).

The msvcrtd.dll that VDubMod calls is actually the msvcr70d.dll in Windows XP. I'm not sure if anyone mentioned that before, but there it is. Just search for that dll copy it to the VDubMod directory and rename it.
