View Full Version : Memory requirements

I have finally got my PVR250 software stable enough to start to
encode my camcorder footage to MPEG2 to then author onto a DVD.
However the created file is 5.6 GB and so needs editing down to
4.7GB to fit onto a DVD and to clip bits off but every piece of
software I try to use seems to struggle before eventually crashing.
I am guessing this is because I do not have enough memory- I currently have 0.5 GB of DDR 2100, will another 0.5GB do the trick?

Thanks,

MadMike

Memory doesn't make matter in this case. Rendering first of all requires processor. So try to locate your problem because it doesn't relate to memory (only if your memory module is broken, maybe it will make sence). You can encode normally on 128 mb or even less.
