asf files on HD convert for dvd

How do I convert asf files created on my harddisk to a format which can be burned to a dvd, which can be played on my dvd player and thus shown on tv?

Welcome hurljf :)

1. This seems to be absolutely the wrong forum for your question. So don't expect an answer soon.

2. ASF is just a container like AVI or WMV. It depends absolutely what is inside to give you any advice.

3. You want to play that on your standalone DVD player, so I think you have to get yourself familiar with MPEG2 encoding and DVD authoring.

4. Conclusion from the above:

a) next time post in newbie forum.

b) give more information (this is essential).

c) Read the guides (especially about format conversion).

d) Do a google search for ASFTools (maybe that one can help in the conversion).
