Mutliple chapters / titles with ifoedit

Hi,

first of all: I already read various threads in this board which should cover this topic. But I still have some Problems.

I have let's say three .vob's (which I created earlier with IFO-Edit). I rename the files to: VTS_01_1, VTS_01_2, VTS_01_3.vob. I choose the directory in ifoedit and select create IFOs. According to this thread: http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?threadid=42989 I should receive a working titleset or chapters (dependigt on what options I checked on create IFOs).

After opening the directory with WINDVD or POWERDVD I only see the first .vob. Even if I burn the directory to a DVD-RW (Nero 5.5.10.15) I only see the first .vob on my standalone Player. It's also not possible to skip chapters or select titles.

Perhaps sbd. can explain this behaviour to me

You created 3 titlesets with the same VOB ID of 1. You need to use the JoinClips mode of VOBedit to change them (Sequencially 1,2,3), then create a new .IFO, then it will work.

I was going to reply earlier but got distracted by when I was watching CNN. Anyway, the method VidHack mentions is the same method that was proposed in mpucoder's first post in your threadlink. Though, he didn't clarify the first Vob-ID should be 1, it's pretty much exact. I assumed you had already done that and was having problems with playback.

But your reply confuses me as you sound like you it's a something new. :confused: There were two proposals in that thread. Mine, which I proposed using SpruceUp and mpucoder's, which he proposed VOBedit.

Hi,

now I got it - I alway thought vobedit was used to join 2 vobs and get one vob with ONE chapter. But vobedit marks where the new vob starts and ifoedit can use that kind of information.

Thanks for the help it works perfectly now, though it costs some time to author a DVD... :-)
