I tried PDITool 0.7 both in took 22mins extracting to .iso and extract all files from .pdi set of files.
I did it with pdi2iso 0.11 and it took 4mins.
I believe this has something to do with how PDITOOL sets a buffer. I extract from an ide hd to an external firewire hd. Anyone notice similiar results?

3 mins for pdi2iso and 16 mins for pditool
never knew that, hope they fix it

thank you for testing it MisterX. Now I know it's not just me.
I think it may have to do with the buffer like I said
schlaufer said in that long PDI tool thread the following
"...the only difference in handling of small and large files is that large files are read in huge (i.e. 20 MB) chunks."
anyway for .pdi to .iso I'll use pdi2iso and when I need to extract all files use either PDITOOL or pdi2iso then daemon tools to mount image then copy them to hd.
