Having a lot of trouble with a DVD authored in IFO Edit 0.94/95. Its a NTSC 720/480 29.97fps source called "The Ring" I have re-encoded it using CCE Basic, setting the 3:2 inverse pulldown check-box. The re-authored DVD will not preview in IFO Edit, but it will play flawlessly on Power DVD. It will not play back on my set top player after the first chapter. The first chapter plays fine, but the playback clock is frozen at 4 seconds. I have tried numerous different settings for encoding and I have concluded it must be an authoring problem.

IFO Edit seems to not like the pulldown .m2v, the cell times in the re-authored DVD are all shortened. My original source was 1:55:07.25 long and the re-authored DVD is 1:32:09.22 in IFO Edit.

Anybody have this problem before? How did you work around it?

Authoring NTSC movies in IFOedit does not work well.:( There's alot of past threads, when v0.95 came out, on this issue with people living in NTSC country. It works great with PAL though. :D
