Hi,

I am using Doom9's guide to rip DVD's into SVCD's (Using DVD2SVCD and TMPGEnc along with Nero 5.5.10 to burn). I am running into a couple of problems.

1. For some reason, if I tell the program to rip it into 3 CD's, the third CD is always > 800 megs... i.e. 833 megs.

2. I own a JVC-S300BK DVD Player, when I play the SVCD on my computer (using DaemonTOOL), the SVCD plays fine, however, when I try playing it on my DVD player, the movies would play fine for the first half of a CD, but then would be jerky the 2nd half, what's going on? The weird thing is, I tried playing it on my friend's Pioneer DV-250 DVD Player and the CD plays fine there... Am I missing somethere here?

Please help, thanks.

Sincerely,
IronHell

1. Try a search on TMPG. I bet you are using CQ mode.

2. It is your DVD player. Not all DVD players work well with SVCD's.

All problems belong in basics.
Might want to read up on the stickies before posting in the future. There is a ton of info to be had in them.

In this forum. The DVD2SVCD forum. Actually almost all the forums have them. They are simply threads that are locked at the top. The important threads such as Mandatory post Etc...

The first 7 or 8 threads that say sticky right before them.
