To:The great people of the Doom9 forum.

Hello,I'am still having aduio problems and I hope you can help me out.Ok,I convert my dvd rips to vcd format ''for friends and family.''All the dvd rips are in avi format.I use TMPGEnc plus to mpeg encode the avi's.After the mpeg encoding is finished the picture looks very good''not dvd quality, but not bad.''The audio is another story I only get about 8-12 seconds then all audio is gone.Is
there a ''simple'' way to gain the audio back?Is there a program on the Doom9 site that can help?I'am still a little new to the world of vcd's and mpeg encoding. If you could help or point me in the right direction it would help me out alot. Thanks again for all your help and time.

Have a great weekend.

From what I can gather, you are using your own process, instead of a well-understood procedure. That's fine, once you have sufficient knowledge and experience.

Until then, please use a standardized procedure to create VCDs from .avi files. Click on Doom9's conversion guides (http://www.doom9.org/conversionguides.htm) to get started.

Jggimi, thank you for the info.I read over the info page you sent me and it did the trick. All I needed was Virtualdub.A quick audio change and a re-encode of the avi file,it worked GREAT!!!!! Thank you very much for all your help and time.

Have a super day.
