Hi,
I have extracted 15, 48Khz AC3 files from a DVD using DVD Decrypter but when I drag them into Scenarist I get a file not supported error on 7 of the files but the other import fine..any ideas of where to even start with this one? (the files are all 700k+ in size.

You're kidding, right? There can only be 8 audio tracks in a VTS, so sort them out before you drag them on, associate them with the right video.

this is a 15 PGC VTS, with audio in each PGC so a total of 15 Audio tracks. when i dvd decrypt them then drag them into Scenarist 7 of the files give me the error

VTS_02_PGC_05_1 - 0x80 - Audio - AC3 - 2ch - 48kHz - DRC - English - DELAY -634ms.AC3 is not supported file format.

Not really, if all 15 PGC audio has the same attributes there is only ONE track , but 15 TITLES. If you're making 15 PGC again then drop the audio for each PGC into the correct title. If you're trying to combine the 15 titles into one, lay the audio out onto the timeline correctly, one at a time.
The error is a little misleading, but it means you cannot have more than 8 tracks, the last 7 are not acceptable.

thanks but I think this has been picked up wrong, sorry my first message is not clear. This error is when I am dragging in my assets into the data area, I am not getting as far as the assigning the audio to the video (in the track menu). If I drag the ac3 files into powerdvd the audio plays fine.

so in a nutshell I have a vts with 15 pgcs 1 video and 1 ac3 audio in each pgc. I demux the ac3 files to my hard disk using dvd decrypter then when I try to import them into scenarist i get the error VTS_02_PGC_05_1 - 0x80 - Audio - AC3 - 2ch - 48kHz - DRC - English - DELAY -634ms.AC3 is not supported file format. How do I check the audio files to see if they are dvd compliant (taking into account these are simply demuxed from a original dvd)

Thanks in advance for any help...this has got me stumped

I ran AC3Fix on my files for Disc 2 of Lawrence of Arabia and the resulting DVD was not synched properly. I think I will try the guide at http://www.encodinginfo.org.uk/dvd.php#delay next time.
