I'm trying to encode a 4 hour DVD with Gknot but i get an error when i press the Start encoding button. The error is: Cannot find Sylia Scripting Language (SYLIA.DLL).
The sylia.dll file is in the VirtualDub folder like it should though.
Is this DVD too long to handle? :(

Have you tried re-downloading/re-installing VDub? I've never heard of a length-limit, and wouldn't expect it to be 4 hours since I've done 3.5 hour movies. My guess is you got a corrupt download of VirtualDub.

I reinstalled Gknot (rippack + system pack) but both DivX5 and 3 rips don't work. Both with the same Sylia error.
I reripped the DVD to my HD but that didn't help either... :(

Try the solutions posted in this thread (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=43839&highlight=sylia). Possible causes: incorrectly installed Vobsub, Anti-virus software, or Vidomi..

THX, it was the Anti-virus software! I recently switched from Norton AV to Bitdefender. Uninstalling was the only way to get VDub working again.
