I have been trying to backup a copy of Dr Who and the Ark in space, now I know i can do this with DVD2ONE and the like which proved sucessfull but of poor picture quality so I want to spread it across 2 DVDR's and keep everything.
Now looking at the IFO the dear old BBC have ordered the episodes (as they appear in the VOBs) as 1 4 3 2 which I guess is to prevent the likes of DVDXCOPY from making an easy backup. On top of this there is also a blank section in the middle of the main VOB plus the logo's one of which appears just before the credits at the end of an episode to really mess things up.
If I could reorganise the contents of the main VOB such that everything is ordered logically i.e. logos followed by episodes in correct order then it would make life a lot easier.
Is it possible to split the vobs into their cells, shuffle them into the required order and then adjust the PGC references to match so that the contents of the main VOB is in the order logo, ep 1, 2, 3, 4
It may well be that my limited understanding of VOB's is totally incorrect and you can't cut and shuffle the bits but any advice on tools and methods would be gratefully received
