DVD Players that Play ripped DVD's

Howya one and all

I used gnot to back up Dvds and all I have is a PS2 and I dont want to bugger it up with a Mod Chip. So I have to spend some Euros on a DVD player

Anyone know what Dvd players will support playing ripped dvds or do they ??

What do I look for here in good old Ireland when I walk in to buy one and not take any crap from the salesrep???

If you used Gknot, then your output is DivX in an AVI container, and is not a DVD.

There are two players that support limited DivX codec features from CDs containing .avi files -- your backups may or may not play on them. Search the forum for "kiss" -- one of the two players on the market has that name.

(You might be better off running a TV-Out from your PC.)

If you can find a Norcent DP300, then that dvd player plays most formats. Dunno about divx though. GL and HTH.
