View Full Version : @Eyes'Only - DIF4U deletes m2v files after creation

It seems I have a problem with DIF4U 1.0.9.9.
I'm backuping Donnie Darko Region 1, and VTS02 (extras) gives problems.
This VTS made of 20 Pgcs, ALL using VobId 1.
Now when I start DIF4U in VobId mode, I can see it creates all the m2v files for each part, but right after it deletes them (I guess some problem occurs while trying to rename files).
In the end, I only have one file, as created from the very beginning of the process, called VTS__02_V01.4~3_1.M2V.
In fact it appears DIf4u tries to rename all files to the same name, i.e VTS__02_V01.4~3_1.M2V.

I guess this is normal when vobIds are shared among PGcs, but in my case, it won't work since there is only one VobId used.
I should probably go with DIF4U "by PGC" but I did this before and had lots of problems using Reauthorist afterwards (crashed on some PGCs) so I thought, maybe VobId mode...

Can you help on this ?
Should such a VTS where all PGCs use VobId 1 be delat with in PGC mode or VobId mode ? Sorry if this has been asked already.

Only demux the pgc that contains all the vobid.

I think I wasn't clear.
There is only ONE vob-id. ALL 20 Pgcs use only vob-id 1.
So there is no "PGC that contains all the vob-id" since there is only ONE vob-id and it is shared by ALL PGCs

Any other thought ?

Why does DIF4Y try to rename the extracted files (long names containing the 0xE0 part) to the same simplified name ?

Try 1.0.9.12 and tell me if this still happens, please. Theoretically, you should just get one file with the entire vobid in it.

I will try latest .12 version. I'll let you know.
