Help need with the "Firmware" to Nec

I don't know if I should put this in here but I need to ask.
How to install the firmware to Nec dvd burner?
I have trying with the last one that is 1.75 but it can't find my DVD burner, why ?

Help me.

The 1.75 version which I guess you downloaded from "The firmware page" is only for the ND-1100 sold in Japan by IOdata. It does not work with the European/US retail version or with the Dell version. There is no firmware update available to these versions yet.

I can't just belive they have not done that for Europ/US.
My Nec 1100A can't find media like Verbatim and I can't rewrite the RW media as well. I'm using Nero latest update 5.5.10.15.

I've read about rewriting problems with the Dell version (firmware 108B) but my retail version works perfect (firmware 1.A0).

That is the one I have 1.AO.
My DVDrecoder can't find in Win Explorer a DVD film that I have payd for. I have made fully new OS install with service pack and everything so it should run perfect, but no it can't fix the dvd burner :mad:
I start to believe that this DVDburner is damage or just a bad hardware that I've got. I can't just go back and say it does not work. I need to test first on an other computer.
Install it and run to see if it works.

Mine perfect too, firmware 1.A0.
ThunderStorm, maybe your sample is defective, but first check your EIDE connection cable and don't overclock via FSB.

I have also the 1100A with 1.A0 Firmware and have until now no problem. Maybe there is really anything wrong with your drive.

Well, I have done what I can. I have never had this much problem with stuff like this.
I'm not saying that it is Nec that is a bad hardware, don't take this wrong but if I can burn cd-r but not dvd+r/rw, it got to bee somthing in this Nec dvd-burner that is out.
I will tomorrow test it in my friends company on different computers, let see if it turns out different.
I can open cd's in it but not dvd records, that will say a lot.
I can burn cd-r but NOT dvd+r (Verbatim+R) & can't (Verbatim+RW).

So thanks for all your help, but I hope it was something else, like firmware or just a small thing... So thanks
