any windows dshow based player (i.e. wmpVx.x, zoomPlayer, CoreMediaPlayer).

you should install the filters needed for xcd (currently latest is test6b).

do search the forums.
next time, a similar question will get you a strike.

Hehe, let's punish poor yup then: "Is there any player for XCD?". Sorry for the bad joke, but you didn't mention media player classic which plays cdxa by itself. Perhaps you also forgot to use the search feature :p

Hi murattttt! WMP 6.4 play properly *.avi on XCD (Xvid&mp3,DivX3.11&mp3). But if I try play rercorded *.mp3 by WMP 6.4 this not play, write not registered class. WMP from WINMe play very distortion music. I try only ZoomPlayer - not open file. When I made reverse conversion (dat2file) I get ordinary *.mp3 which play by any player. Now I can only use XCD for *.mp3 only as transport media not very good.
With kind regards yup.

Hi gabest! I try MPC with same result. I can play *.avi (Xvid&mp3,DivX3.11&mp3) writen on XCD, but can not play *.mp3. MPC play properly *.mp3 from hard disk. May be problem, that I have 2 decoder for *.mp3 files (standard Fraunhofer and LAME ACM)? May be need change priority for some audiodecoder? I can not search answer for this question in forum. Please if not very difficult help me.
with kind regards yup.

I tested a few mp3 files yesterday but they worked fine for me. If you can upload a smaller one of yours to somewhere (copied from xcd) I'll test it too.

Thank You gabest! When I open file from XCD in GraphEdit I can not see RIFF CDDA filter. I can play *.avi file WMP 6.4, MPC or ZoomPlayer, but I can not play *.mp3 any cbr or vbr. I can not understand why? When I use dat2file for conversion file from XCD to ordinary file I get proper file which play in any player. How I can know that RIFF CDDA filter install right?

When the reader filter loads a file it has to go through the known patterns taken from the registry and associate a media type with the file. If this fails the filter graph can't choose and connect a parser/decoder/render filter to it. I'd guess that either your mp3 files don't follow the regular mp3 format (that's why I asked for a sample) or the association is broken/missing in the registry (or there is no parser filter, but that can't be since you can play it back as a normal file).

Hi people! I continue expiriment with mode2maker. *.m2p (MPEG-2 programm files) and *.wav play in WMP 6.4 and MPC. I change to new version mode2maker and gui, but *.mp3 and *.ogg not play.
