Which program can create clickable areas??? I saw this 1 svcd that had areas you could click on instead of using the keypad. So I checked out the xml file and found these;
<select ref="selection-24" x1="49" y1="85" x2="88" y2="128"/>
<select ref="selection-25" x1="89" y1="85" x2="127" y2="128"/>
<select ref="selection-26" x1="128" y1="85" x2="166" y2="128"/>
<select ref="selection-27" x1="167" y1="85" x2="205" y2="128"/>
These are screen co-ordinates, they are located around an area where there is a word like, Chapter Selection or something like that.
Which program creates these???? Or do I have to enter them into the xml manually???

VCDImager does it compileJacosk asked for a progr. doing it automatically - he knew that the thing with VCDImager already!But I don't know any DVD player that can play that.There is no DVD Player(standalones) on the world which supports it. Like the DVD, there is no "pointer" on TV screen if you insert a DVD into a player. Only (default highlighted) button. But in computer you can use mouse. The player software simulates the move and activate of buttons. Only PowerDVD supports the full function on VCD/SVCD.
Now to your question: sorry, there is no software/tools to make automatically. You must make it by hand.
IF you want to know how to make SVCDs with such clickable areas supported by both PwerDVD and WinDVD, please post here(answer later)
IF you want to know how to avoide the manual caculation of coordinations of such clickable areas in menu, please post here(answer later)

No no no no, the area locations are for people who are using the computer to play it back, the DVD player will ignore the info.

They're called hotspots. As already stated, if you want them in a SVCD you will have to author them by hand in your XML and author with VCDImager and they will only function in software players. I don't use PowerDVD but hotspots have always worked fine for me in WinDVD.
If you use hotspots in VCDs, however, then you have more options. VideoPack 4.0, and probably later versions of it or WinonCD (Don't know never needed anything other than Vid Pack 4)can create very complex hotspot functions. You can make the button animate (move, change colors, play sounds etc..) either when you click it or when you hover your mouse over it. Basically it functions just like a DVD does. They will not only play in software VCD players but they will also play on CDI players, but few people have those anymore.
Another program which can create hotspots in VCDs is Video CD 2.0 Toolkit. Its used to be commercial and is supposed to be free now but I have no idea where you could find it.
