Same problem with 2 movies. Did a clean rip of all files w DVD-decrypter. IFOedit 0.94, "error writing file" during stripping (VOB Extras button), to new folder. Results:
Yellow Submarine - "error writing file" at the same point every time, about 90% into film. All VOB's created properly up to that 90% mark--then nothing.
Spy Kids 2 - same thing, about 80% mark
These are the only two films I have this problem with.

VOB Extras button, settings: checked Strip Streams, Vo0bID's, Correct Vob-Unit NP pointers, Correct original IFO's, Create new IFO's, Remove P-UOps, Remove Macrovision, Adjust Vob-Unit pointers, Adjust/Subp point; VOB size=1gb; unchecked all audio & sub streams except Audio 1; selected only VobId's for the main movie.

How can I figure out what this error is, what's causing it, what to do to fix it? Any tips from the MASTERS would be extravagantly appreciated. Gracias.

In most cases the HDD is full.

Whoa. You seem to be correct. I'm using a dedicated partition on an external firewire hard drive, and thought I had plenty of room. Turns out it's overfull. I'll fix that, and see what happens. Does anyone know how to change the size of a partition in Windows XP? I have about 30 gb unused capacity
