No, I haven't flashed it yet :)

I thought Prodisc G02 at 2x has been added with firmware 1.21?

And look here (http://www.pioneer-eur.com/eur/products.jsp?category=products/DVDwriter/2X_Rec&category_id=442&taxonomy_id=43-92). Since when has Ritek G02 been on the 2x media list?

I'm sorry I cannot answer your questions, I have the burner for one week now (came with 1.21), so I'm not so familiar with all the media issues yet. I'm currently burning Ritek G04 at 4x and Pioneer 2x at 2x as well as some Verbatim 1x DVD-RW, no problems at all.

Pioneer 2x -R and Verbatim 1x RWs even work on a Pioneer DVR-A03 with a firmware which is 1 1/2 years old...so it's pretty logical that they do not cause problems ;)

i was wondering why there is no 2x burning on 1x media hack for the a05 firmware yet, since it is available for a03 and a04... is this firmware better protected or is noone interested in "hacking" it?

May they succeed, cause coasters and thus increase dvd-r sales...
