How do u make chapter for dvd movie?
the original dvd movie has no chapter.

If you want chapters in your chapterless movie, you have to use a DVD authoring program. Look in Doom9's guides on doing this. Sorry, but you have to put some work into this if you want chapters badly. There's no other way around it.

You can demux it then reauthor it in IFOedit adding a Celltimes.txt file that you have made in the form

1234
3456
4367
etc

where those numbers are the frame points where you want chapters.

This is the easiest way that I know, takes no time at all.

How does one find the "EXACT" frame points, without viewing, in "no time at all". Even sliding the bar in IFOedit preview is very slow. Might as well process it through an simple DVD Authoring software like SpruceUP and also get menus out of it.

Depends if you are looking for exact frame points or just want to add chapters every five minutes (into say Mullholland Drive which has no chapters) to facilitate quicker browsing through the movie.

Yeah - generating a CellTimes.txt will do the job!
Additional good news: You don't need the 'exact' Frame. IFOEdit will change your entry to the nearest I-Frame (remember, your Player can only jump to the beginning of a GOP-Sequence).

Don't use frame 0 - that one is a chapter-start by default.
OTOH - enter the number of the last frame at the end of the list (this is, what IFOEdit does when extracting CellTime.txt from a 'chaptered' movie).

You can calculate the framenumber on the basis of 25 frames per second (with PAL): A chapter-point at 0:19:22;12 (19th minute, 22nd second, 12th frame) would be (19*60+22)*25 + 12. :)
