Hello,

I have searched all over but can't seem to find an answer to this. I have a problem with Maestro authored DVDs. Whenever the disc is playing and it goes thru a chapter point, my Pioneer DV-250 standalone stutters for a second then continues on playing. This only happens with DVDs authored with Maestro. The weird thing is that they play fine on my Apex AD-1100W.

Here is my method:
I am ripping DVDs and re-authoring without reencoding.

1) Rip with DVDDecrypter with Strip Streams in IFO mode.
2) Import m2v and ac3 into Maestro
3) Manually enter in chapter points. This is because I always get the I-Frame error if I import ChapterXtractor chapter files
4) Compile and burn

Any help or ideas is appreciated. I have been banging my head over this for a couple weeks ;)

ok two minutes later I reply to my own post ;)

I think I may have found the problem. I just opened one of the Maestro created ifo files and every chapter point shows as a layer break. Anyone know what I might be doing wrong in Maestro? Like I said above, I am manually entering in the chapter points. Or is there a way to remove the layer break with IFOEdit?

Thanks again for any help.

I solved my problem. It was op error :)

For some reason maybe from a post or guide or something I thought that you had to put the next chapter in the "End Action" for the previous chapter in the Connections window. I did a test without putting any chapters in there and the layer break problem is mysteriously gone ;)
