Hi with both 2.50 and 2.66 on WIn 2000. CCE will encode at 640X480 and not compliant 720x480 dvd even after I click on dvd compiant. It makes no difference what I set it at. It will encode at that frame size. Should I reformat my hdd?

My source is a .avi which I put straight in. I select video + audio so the output is mpeg2 .mpg. Anyone know if you can use an AVI as a source in an avs script so I can use resize.

What size is your video when you pull it in? I would suggest using AviSynth to resize your video. Check the Avisynth Usage forum http://forum.doom9.org/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=33
and search for resizing.

CCE won't resize your video so you need to frame serve and resize with Avisynth.

when you play the clip back in media player, it will play it back at the correct aspect ratio (which would be 640x480 for NTSC 4:3), and displays that in the properties when playing back.

to correctly verify the frame size, open the m2v in bitrate viewer
