how can i find out which audio my avi,mpg has?
is there a difference between divx and xvid for the audio?

1) download yourself a copy of gspot (downloads section) it will tell you not only what kind of audio is in the avi but also a lot of other detailed information about you clip. also it will tell you if you've got the correct codecs installed!
2) no... no difference...

mpeg has mpa or ac3 sound, you just open it in PowerDVD, show the informations and it tells you which standard is being used
divx or xvid have nothing to do with audio, they are video codecs. There is a so called divx audio codec, but it is wma in fact.
Anyway, when you open your avi file in bsplayer and show the video info, it tells you which codec is being used for audio.
