Transferring a SECAM VHS tape to PAL DVD

Hi,

I have transferred a SECAM VHS tape to a DVD. I was capturing in ULead VideoStudio 6, encoding in TMPGEnc, authoring and burning in ULead DVD WorkShop. After each step, the resulting video looked fine on the PC. However, the final DVD shows in black-and-white on my PAL DVD/TV.
What can be done? I'm not sure this is the right forum for my question but I really don't know at which step I should have done something differently.

as long as you compressed and created the disc in 25fps and PAL you should get colour on your TV, altho im not familiar with SECAM at all.
