I've bought a hauppauge PVR-250, and I am fairly satisfyied with it as long as the final quality of the image/sound goes.
However, I'm currently having problems processing the final files. I was using avisynth to decomb the MPEG2 file and reencode it in virtualdub. However, often the video streams come with bad frames which causes avisynth to crash with an "caught an access violation error", as it tries to read from the faulty frame.
So is there a tool which can fix these problems in mpeg streams? If there isn't, is there a switch I can turn in avisynth (MPEG2Dec3 or similar) which allow me to read through the bad frame? The real odd thing is that VirtualDub MPEG2 and DVD2AVI seems to parse the mpeg video file ok, but avisynth chokes.
I'm sorry if this is the wrong forum to discuss these issues.
