Divx 5.03 stuttering

When I play divx5 movie with my notebook (128MB ram) all goes fine for about 50 minutes, then begin stutter. I must then stop the movie and restart.

Anyone knows why and how to prevent the problem?

Are you using with the divx player Alpha? because it has a BAAAAADDDDD memory leak.

If you are using WMP or the final release of divx player (released 2 or 3 days ago I think, see the news of doom9.org), try to unload systray's program and I know my antivirus' shield has a tendency to wallow in the RAM so ... ;)

It might be that you're computer is getting too hot, and it is throttling the cpu so it won't overheat.

No, because if I stop and immeditly resume the play all goes fine to the end.

I think it must be some memory problem. I'll try to unload the antivirus.

I had that problem on my NB after 10 min, and fixed it by changing the power-scheme from "Laptop" to "Desktop" or "Server". In "Laptop"-Mode Windows throttels the CPU after a certain time of inactivity, with playing a movie being an inactivity, and somehow (at least on my system) no mediaplayer ever recovered from throttling except by restarting the movie. This throttling-behavior seems to be incofigurable except by changing the power-scheme. There are some articles in the Microsft Knowledge Base about it. Oh, I`m talking about XP, by the way :D. Other OS -> :confused:

I'm having a similar problem with Zoomplayer 3.00 (but not on a notebook).
Some Divx movies -so far only Divx 3.11 movies- start stuttering after a while (I'm using Divx 5.03 to decode all Divx). When I stop and restart the movie, it's ok again for a while.

It seems it doesn't happen with Divx 5 movies and also it doesn't happen when I'm using Mediaplayer instead of Zoomplayer. I also suspected some memory problems to be the reason, but I'm not into programming, so I might be totally wrong...
