My objective: Decrypt two DVD's then use DVD2One to reduce each to around 2200mb (so both will fit on one DVD). Create a new DVD with these two movies and a simple menu to select which movie to watch.

Problem: Can't find authoring software that will allow me to use vob's as input to a project that will attach to the menu.

Question: Is there either 1) authoring sotware that will do this or 2) an quick way to convert vob's to MPG so my existing authoring software will work.

Thanks for any suggestions.

I'm currently using:
Windows/98
DVD Decryptor V3.1.4
DVD2One V1.0.2
Sonic MyDVD V3.5

also, you might not want to just do 2200 mb for each, but rather, should base the size of each based on each movie's length or complexity. that way you would get more of a constant quality.

Thanks for all of your help. I did what you suggested and it worked perfectly. For those interested, here are the steps I used.

Decrypted both movies using DVDDecrypter
Reformated both movies to 2220mb using DVD2One(each to a separate directory)
Demuxed both movies using VOBEdit(same directories)
Renamed the m2v and ac3 files to same name. (ie: Movie1.mpv and Movie1.ac3)
Used Spruceup to create a menu and attach the m2v files to the selection buttons.
Compiled finished product to disk
Burned to DVD.

You're right with your suggestion that each of the two movies should be looked at by length and complexity instead of using a generic value of 2220mb but I was lucky to get this far and that would definitely be over my head.
