Hello all,
I did some DVD ripping with smartripper,
What I got are some .VOB files and a .idx,.lst and INFO file.
When I use standard VOB player (such as powerdvd) it actually runs the movie BUT with audio stream of some language I don't like,
Now, I can't change the audi stream with the AUDIO menu of the powerdvd, nor subtitles can be changed.
I don't want to do any ripping, just watching the movie with the audio stream I like and with the subtitles I like.
I would appriciate if someone can help me with this,
Also, is there an option to run the whole movie one time and not manually load the next .VOB file after I finish loading and watching the one before?
Thanks a lot !!

Welcome to the forum! I hope you find it useful.
Click on www.doom9.org.
Click on The Basics
Click on HD Playback Guide
You waited 5 days to get this information because you apparently missed seeing Rule 1 (http://forum.doom9.org/forum-rules.htm).

Thanks for the reply,
I DID try to find the solution in the guides,
Unfortunately I couldn't,
The problem is that I already have the .VOB files of the movie (did the ripping with Smartripper and not with the dvddecrypter,
The question if I still can do something with the files to have the ame results as with the dvddecrypter :)
Thanks !

Try Doom9's SmartRipper guide (http://www.doom9.org/sr.htm). If you rip (or re-rip) in Movie mode, it will IFO parse. It will select Angle 1 of the longest PGC by default. You can select a different angle, or a different PGC if needed, and you can select Streams processing to select the particular VOB streams you are interested in.

to play the whole dvd from your hd at once, there is an option to select "play dvd content from hard disk". it will alow you to choose your .ifo file, which will then of course play the whole movie and probably also allow stream selectability (if you've done the ripping right!

I have tried already loading the .ifo file,
Actually it only shows 24 minutes of the movie (exactly the content of the first .vob) AND I can't change the audo stream/subtitles.
Anyway, there is an option to edit the content of the .ifo file after ripping? like creating a new one from the .vob files or something like that?
thanks.

To rebuild an IFO...there is a program called IfoEdit that has some of what you may be looking for. There is a guide (http://www.doom9.org/mpg/ifoedit-menustripping.htm) for using it to extract main content (for those burning 4.3GB DVDs), as well as a forum (http://forum.doom9.org/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=50) dedicated to it. I have only used it once or twice, and therefore am ignorant of its complete capabilities; I do recall that it has the capability to create an IFO based on existing VOBs. If your VOBs are damaged or do not contain what you are looking for, that feature will not help you.
