...it's only a remake of the old version but without the Authoringware Lib.
ImgTool Classic generates DVD Images in ISO format using mkisofs in an Cygwin environment. mkisofs is developed under the GPL and therefor there is no copyright issue anymore.
Please have a look at the included help text.
Note:
ImgTool Classic is a new program and I can't test everything about it. So please use it at your own risk. Let me know if you found some bugs... and if it works OK, let me also know ;) !
Download it here (http://www.coujo.de/portal/portal_database.php?action=view&fid=9&cid=1)!
Greets, CouJo!

Awesome! I had hoped for a while that you would do a remake of the original program. Nice idea to get away from the AuthoringWare Lib.
I remember using mkisofs for compiling Dreamcast images a year or so ago. The AUDIO_TS folder isn't placed in front of the VIDEO_TS folder in this new version is it? :D
Thanks again!

In this new "old" ImgTool the AUDIO_TS folder comes first. This is the standard for DVD Video I think.

Used it to image two discs so far. Pretty good Coujo. I'm surprised no one else has posted on this, I thought it would be a big hit.

Thats the problem. You will only get much posts if there are many problems with the tool. If the tool works OK, only few people posts...

There is a new package of ImgTool Classic available. There are only minor changes in the GUI but more important changes in the "cygwin1.dll" which generates the environment for mkisofs. Also a new mkisofs is included. So if you have some problems, get the latest package here (http://www.coujo.de/portal/portal_database.php?action=show_cat&cid=1).

THanks Coujo,
I recently experienced immediate crashes with the mkisofs library, immediately after clicking to start image creation. Weird. I'll try this new version and I'll let you know about how it goes. I had to go back to more stable (to me) 0.89 in the meantime.

Got it already! Would it be possible to allow us to select the actual directory containing the title sets in the program? I usually have the VIDEO_TS on the root of my C:\ for testing with WinDVD. In order to create an image I have to drop the VIDEO_TS into another folder, then select that folder as the source directory. Not really a big deal, just wondering. (I noticed if you select the root of the drive as the source directory ImgTool gets confused)

In that case, ImgTool gets not confused. It only tries to put everything in the given directory to the image...
I'll try to include something like this...

Well, that's what I meant by "confused." You'll end up with a nice image of your HDD! Maybe you could include an option to only search for and add VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS directories? Thanks for listening, a great tool!
