Hi

I am trying to author Stigmata (R2) in Scenarist 2.7 (using the new Scenarist NT guide - with doitf4u 1.0.9). All is fine (importing assests, creating tracks etc..) and I can compile vobs provided I don't use subtitles.

When I add the subs I get the following error when building (it occurs on .bmp number 58)

'Can't encode. The bits compressed for one line is more than 1440. [Subpicture encoder]'

This does not stop the processes but it does stop later saying it can't find the .sp file in its subtitle cache)

What am I doing wrong????

I have tried doing the subs seperately in subrip and get the same error (again only in the Spanish subs.)

Help??

Kind Regards,
Andy

I wouldn't know a solutuion for the error, but can't you leave this one subtitle out? (delete it from your sst file)

why don't u reduce the chars per line for this particular sub?

if it is in bmp open it in Photoshop or any iage editing software, check its dimensions, max 720x480 for NTSC, 720x576 (Pal) and save again.

Editing 1 pixel sometimes helps... Just edit one pixel in a "paint-like" prog... (PSP, Photoshop) just draw something on the background using the background color so you won't see it ;)

This helped me on several occasions but have I read here it doesn't always work....
