Scenarist: Set default audio track/language

Hi!
I'm using Scenarist for reauthoring my DVDs, but I could't figure out how I can set the default audio track and subtitles that are played when the Disc is inserted to the player.
I'm using no menus at all, just the main movie with two audio tracks and two or more subtitle tracks.

There's another problem I have no solution for: When adding more than one "english" subtitles I can only play the first one. I believe I have to set indices or something like this.
Any help on this topic is gratefully appreciated!

When you drag the track containing the video, 2 audio tracks, and 2 subtitle tracks into a title [or language domain] in the scenario window, it creates a pgc for that main video...On that icon representing the PGC, there's that little tab that says "pre". Double-click on that little tab until the simulation window pops up and gives you a place to define "pre" commands. Uncheck "No command" and select "Set Angle, Audio, Subpicture." Uncheck "set angle..", but keep the rest selected; set the audio to whichever track you want to be default, then do the same for which subpicture track (subtitles). If you want the subtitles to be seen by default, be sure that "Display Subpicture" is selected. If it's not, the correct subpicture will be selected, but not actually turned on (the user would need to turn them on with the remote's subtitle button).


Your other problem: Give that second subpicture stream a different language or use "not specified". There's probably a "smarter" way to do this, but it works.

Thank you very much, works pretty fine this way!
Concerning the other subtitle problem I'd prefer the "smarter" solution as I don't want my DTS-Tracks to appear as Hungarian, Finnish or some other strange language. If anybody knows how to use more than one english language track I'd be happy about any solution :-)

You can change from Hungarian to English in IFOEdit after muxing :)

I believe there is also an in-scenarist workaround as well, although I only use Maestro so not sure of the details.

For all those people facing the same problem: There is a quite easy solution. In the scenario editor click the title-symbol of the title, which you have troubles with. Then on the bottom of the screen change the properties "Audio availability" and "Subtitle availability" to "Custom" and check the checkboxes beneath ("Audio stream x", Subtitle stream x") - That's it.

Since there's a bug in scenarist, you should not have to subtitle streams with the same language. If you have two subtitle streams with the same name one will disappear...

after you select custom of for you sub picture attributes, you must then go into the PGC and point the subs to the correct sub language and stream number. This is a neat feature becasue you can bring in your subs in a different order and re arrange them using this sub attributes. You can alos limit the number of subs that show up using this feature.

There is no bug, as I mentioned before there is a quite easy way to get things working... just read a few answers above...
