I mostly heard that ZigZag is for progressive, and Alternate is for Interlaced. I now have a PAL progressive material here, where Bitrate Viewer says "Scanning Order: Alternate". Should I use the BV's Alternate in CCE, or should I use the rule(?) to use ZigZag on progressive material?

As you said: zigzag is for progressive material, alternate scan order for interlaced. Don't know what BitrateViewer suggests, seems to be wrong.
