This might be a rather stupid question but I just can't figure it out

I ripped MONSTERS INC. with DVD Decrypter 3.x in Filemode and then stuck the whole thing in IC7 ( including the newest update ), finally I burned the sucker with RecordNow MAx 4.5 - everything went smooth. Now when I put the DVD in my DVD Standalone the movie plays fine, I got all the extras, Subtitles and audio. Now when I click on my AUDIO Button on the remote to switch between the Audiostreams I get the AC-3 5.1, DTS, Commentary, etc. but I just can't seem to get a normal stereo stream so that someone that does not have a Surround System can watch the DVD.

This happens with all my 1:1 DVDs, Rocky Horror, Lord of the Rings Extended, Monsters Inc. that I have done so far.

What the heck am I doing wrong? I must be doing something wrong!

When you were making your choices in IC, did you look at the Audio tab for the different titles? Was a stereo track listed there? Was it checked? I don't own Monsters, Inc....Does it show a seperate selection for stereo in its menu?

Finally, why did you burn with Record Now and go thru the extra step of extracting the files from the pdi's? Is there a reason to not just let IC burn them directly? The new version does create an AUDIO_TS directory and allows you to add a Disk title, if there is not one on the DVD.

did you strip any soundtracks?

if you did you may need to remap the audio streams

read my solution to Monsters Inc here

Your DVD player should downsample DD5.1 to stereo for output on the RCA stereo jacks.
