Jumping into the main menu

After doing everything with CCE and Scenarist and IfoUpdate ... I have my DVD ready for burning ... but when I tested it I got a wierd problem ... When I play the DVD at first u'll see a still image which will last for 5 seconds and then u'll be presented with the menu to choose either play movie from it or u can choose subtitles from there ... anyhow with the authored DVD whe I play it ... it just pause on the still image and do not move to the main menu ... to go to the menu I have to right click on power dvd and choose "Select Menu" ----> "Root Menu" ... and then I'll go to the main menu ... every thing else works OK ... my question is how I can force my authored DVD to jump from the still image to the main menu directly ... Thanks ...

Hi,
I'm not an expert, but I can tell you that PowerDVD is quite flexible at DVD navigation. I'm really tired of messing around with projects that do play fine on PowerDVD but that hang my standalone. The fact that PowerDVD is able to go on doesn't mean that the DVD has a working structure. Even in my worst cases, calling the root menu the way you say worked for me.
So I would say you have navigation issues in your IFOs. Try to read some of the newest posts in this forum. Also 2COOL's cheat lists are of *great* help.... but get ready to dive inside the guts of a monster :D

Thanks for replying dude ... 2COOL'S guides are really cool ;) ... I need to dive too deep to make it work like this :

Still Image (5 sec) -----> Root Menu

But I've managed depending on his guide to bypass the Still Image to Root Menu directly and it is fine with me this way ... :)
